Patches...

Would be a great name for a scarecrow, or perhaps a Harvest Lord. But Jack Hallow is good too. And as you probably already know, a Harvest Lord named Jack Hallow just happens to be one of the newest additions to Wizard101 that KingsIsle has gifted us with in their latest patch. Lots of other good things, undead and living, came with this new instalment, and you can find them listed on the main site. Even better, you could give Wizard101 Central a visit and see what people there think of it.

Patch notes aside, what is perhaps most interesting to me are some of the things that are not listed in the notes. Like the fact that players are now able to fight the Jade Oni more than once... which is great news if you happen to desire the storm blade that can only be achieved by defeating that sinister green elephant. By far my personal favorite undocumented change involves the graphical additions to Kagemoosha's Citrine Blade. Where before it was lacking the fanciful particles of the other sword-wands, it now boasts an impressive arsenal of colors that dazzle foes and distract young players. Keep it up KingsIsle!

And yes, I did buy a black cat.

3 Pips

Or one power pip and one regular if you happen to be a sorcerer... but that is beside the point. Welcome to The Helpful Mander, your new source for random musings on Wizard101! Strategies abound here, or will at the very least. Don't even think of traveling the spiral without checking here first!

By now I am certain you are wondering who I am. Well, no... I am not a mander. I just happen to be someone who summons manders. I am Tarlac Sandweaver, an avid fan of Wizard101, a prolific guide writer and, as of this writing a level 45 sorcerer. You might have seen me wandering aimlessly around Wizard City from time to time, but now you can find me any time you wish! And who wouldn't want to? After all, I do summon manders.
